There is no safe corner for long in Tiny Garden War. One moment, the garden is almost empty. The next moment, several zombies are moving toward different lanes. Your plants need time to attack. Your stronger units need the right position. Your resources need to be spent carefully.
The campaign gives you 50 stages to complete. Instead of keeping the same setting throughout the game, it takes you through five areas. Each area gives the campaign a fresh setting while the zombie pressure continues to increase.
Each stage works like a changing puzzle. Check your plants first and see what you can afford. Collect sun or coins, then watch each lane. Place attack plants where they can hit zombies early. Use tougher plants in front when a zombie gets close. Keep checking your resources so you do not spend everything too soon.
You can remove a plant when your plan stops working. Select the shovel, then click or tap the plant. Use the empty space for a better choice.
The game has about 32 zombie types, along with 40 plants and eight upgrade plants. Different zombies require different defenses.
The Almanac shows plant and zombie traits, stats, and lane roles. Your Player Profile also tracks progress, collectibles, coins, seed slots, and difficulty.
The extra modes are useful when you want something different from the 50-level campaign.
Survival focuses on continuous waves. You need to keep the defense running as the pressure continues.
Vasebreaker adds mystery to each move. Break a vase, and you may reveal a useful plant. You may also discover a zombie.
Five secret slots are hidden in the game. Some discoveries come from unusual interactions rather than simply completing a stage. Certain sunny scenes can also contain interactions with flying elements.
