About Size It Up

Size It Up is a daily puzzle about judging scale. You see two silhouettes and have to work out how they should compare in size. There are no long calculations. You simply look, think, adjust, and make your choice.

The game uses familiar objects and puts them into a visual comparison. One object gives you a fixed point of reference. The other can be resized. Your job is to make that second shape look as close to its real size as possible.

What Changes From Round to Round?

  • Five comparisons make up each daily puzzle.
  • A fixed silhouette gives you a visual reference.
  • The target can be resized before you submit.
  • Each round offers up to 100 points.
  • A full daily score can reach 500.
  • Real-world objects can produce unexpected results.

Can Your Eyes Judge the Right Size in Size It Up?

Controls

  • Mouse: Resize and adjust the target
  • Touchscreen: Drag to resize

How to Use the Fixed Shape First

The fixed silhouette is your guide for the whole round. Look at it first and get a rough idea of its size. Then check the second object and decide how large it should be next to the reference.

Do not start dragging right away. Make a rough guess first.

Use the mouse to change the target's size. Move it up or down until the proportion looks right.

Look at both ends of the shapes before locking in your answer.

When you are happy with the estimate, submit it. The game then shows the actual scale and gives you a score.

Playing Size It Up Tips

Pick a Starting Ratio

Think in simple terms before touching the target. Ask whether it should be half, similar, twice, or several times the reference.

Use the Reference as a Ruler

Imagine placing the reference beside the target more than once. This helps when the target is much larger than the object you know.

Watch the Length

Do not let the overall shape decide your answer. A wide object can look bigger even when its main measured dimension is not.

Adjust in Two Stages

Make a bigger change when the estimate is clearly wrong. Once you get close, switch to small movements so you do not overshoot.
