Each lane on the road has vehicles moving. You must move your character into the next available space. Releasing your hold allows the animal to retreat if a car is too close. The game forces you to keep moving because the bottom of the screen disappears. Timing your steps is the only way to avoid a messy collision.
The game rewards your survival efforts with coins that you find on the asphalt. You can use these rewards to open mystery boxes in the main menu.
